IMAGINE PHD
SBL is a proud sponsor of IMAGINE PHD, a free online career exploration and planning tool for PhD students, postdoctoral candidates, and scholars in the humanities and social sciences.
Advocacy
SBL advocates on behalf of students, researchers, teachers, and others interested in biblical scholarship in regard to issues such as secondary and postsecondary education, the academic workforce, and scholarly publishing.

Tools and Resources
SBL maintains three committees to provide support for underrepresented professionals: The
Underrepresented Racial and Ethnic Minorities in the Profession Committee (CUREMP)

Status of Women in the Profession Committee (CSWP)

Data and Research
From 2010 through 2020, SBL and the American Academy of Religion (AAR) produced annual Jobs Reports that analyzed the data obtained from the job postings listed on the AAR and SBL Employment Services site. Future reports will be produced on a 3-year cycle.
