Jorunn Økland has been elected a member of the Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters. Jorunn serves on the SBL Council, and her work combines theory, a wide and deep understanding of antiquity and material culture, and leadership in feminist/gender studies. Congratulations!

This report includes employment listing data from July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2019, for the Academic Year (AY) 2019. While not representative of all positions in our fields, the data provide important information for employers, candidates, and those active in biblical, religious, and theological scholarship. Moreover, we fully expect that this report will not be representative of hiring practices this year, as the COVID-19 pandemic impacts student enrollment and faculty hiring. However, because the annual report has value in helping to identify trends, it is provided to members and institutions
